Teton Yarn Company Hand Dyed Rainier, is a 6-Ply yarn, originally introduced in Europe as a heavy-lace handknitting yarn and used widely for shawls. While it is spun from springy superwash merino, what sets Rainier apart from the crowd is twofold: a generous yardage and skein weight.

These skeins are heavier at 150 grams and so have more yardage. Perfect for fine gauge garments, shawls, baby clothes, hats, gloves, and socks.

Colorway: Juniper

Yarn Specifications:

Yarn Base: Rainier

Colorway: Juniper

Number of Plys: 6

Yardage: 822 yards

Skein Weight: 150 grams

Fiber: 100% Superwash Merino Gauge: 8 to 10 stitches per inch on US Size 1-3 (2.25mm to 3.00mm) needles

Care: While superwash wool yarns can be machined washed on cool setting, it is recommended to line dry for longest wear.

Dyeing: Teton Yarn Company uses color fast acid dyes on all our yarns. My yarns are all hand dyed by me in my yarn studio in Teton Valley, Idaho. Yarns are dyed in groups of 2-3 in most cases and I do my best to ensure consistency in each batch, however, there will be some variation even within a dye lot. Different dye lots will be siblings, rather than twins, so it is recommended you order enough for a project in one order for best results.
