The Yak gives the yarn its natural colouring, and provides this yarn with a warm base. The yak this yarn gives wonderful rich and warm colours. These skeins are heavier at 120 grams and so have more yardage to make into one skein fingering weight shawls so you can enjoy the warmth and softness close to your skein.

Dyeing: Teton Yarn Company uses color fast acid dyes on all our yarns. My yarns are all hand dyed by me in my yarn studio in Teton Valley, Idaho. Yarns are dyed in groups of 2-3 in most cases and I do my best to ensure consistency in each batch, however, there will be some variation even within a dye lot. Different dye lots will be siblings, rather than twins, so it is recommended you order enough for a project in one order for best results.
