Teton Yarn Company Hand Dyed Rainier Fingering Lace, is a 6-Ply yarn, originally introduced in Europe as a heavy-lace handknitting yarn and used widely for shawls. While it is spun from our springy superwash merino, what sets Rainier Lace apart from the crowd is twofold: a generous yardage and skein weight. These skeins are heavier at 150 grams and so have more yardage. Perfect for fine gauge garments, shawls, baby clothes, hats, gloves, and socks.

Colorway Madam VP is in honor of the groundbreaking historic achievement of Kamala Harris being elected as the US's first female, black, and Asian Vice President. Madam Harris wore a stunning purple coat and dress ensemble in honor of the past work and sacrifices of feminists who laid the groundwork for her to be elected. Not only is purple one of the colors of feminist, but it is a non-partisan to represent both US political parties; the blue of Democratics and the red of Republicans as Madam Harris could be the tie-breaking vote in a 50-50 Senate.

Dyeing: Teton Yarn Company uses color fast acid dyes on all our yarns. My yarns are all hand dyed by me in my yarn studio in Teton Valley, Idaho. Yarns are dyed in groups of 2-3 in most cases and I do my best to ensure consistency in each batch, however, there will be some variation even within a dye lot. Different dye lots will be siblings, rather than twins, so it is recommended you order enough for a project in one order for best results.
